Nonito Donaire beat former bantamweight champion Ukrainian Vladimyr Sidorenko (22-3-2, 7 KOs) by 4th round KO on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Sydorenko was also down in rounds 1 and 3. In addition to his victory Donaire also captured the vacant WBC Continental Americas bantamweight title. Next up for Donaire will be a fight against Fernando Montiel (43-2-2, 33 KOs) on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada for the WBC and WBO bantamweight titles.
